The Furniture Factory in Lumberjack's Dynasty

A mill multiplier, not a first-week shortcut. Feed it dry planks or it is just a building.

Furniture Factory

The furniture factory is the building players fight about. One camp buys it before the uncle loan because pine pallets turn into cribs. The other camp — this wiki’s default — pays Charles first so dating, stump-and-plant follow-ups, and the large build quests actually open. Both camps are describing the same 1.0 machine. This page is how the factory works, what it costs, and the trade-off in plain Euro. Pair it with make money, mill profits, and products.

What you buy

The factory is a town lot, not a farm shed. Plaque prices in community sessions wander: 225,000, then 199,000, then 179,000, with French notes of 175,000 on a lucky day (work clothes are a rumoured modifier — trust the plaque, not a rumour). You walk up, read the sale text, pay. Furniture creator pops when you own it. That is one of 33 Steam trophies, not a skill rank. See achievements.

Inside, recipes eat dry plank crates and spit furniture you sell at the factory counter or through the store. Community examples: six dry pine pallets that might sell for about 1,500 Euro as lumber can feed ten cribs quoted near 2,000 Euro each. That is the multiplier people mean. Wardrobes, bookcases, beds, and later unlocked patterns want specific species. Oak recipes are not pine recipes. The furniture-era patch (kept in 1.0) added 100+ pieces and wood-type patterns. Rank-3 treasure chests can drop high blueprints. Missions can too. You do not need every blueprint on day one.

The video above is a buy-and-run session: factory purchase, then a first batch. Watch the input, not the rain.

Loan-first vs factory-first

Loan-first (wiki default). Until the camp is yours, dating stays gated, some vehicle quests stay muted, and the lump-sum build jobs (players report a late payout around 200,000 Euro) do not appear. Factory cash does not unlock a spouse. If you came for marriage and a Timberjack quest, pay Charles. The mill still prints while you wait — dry oak and birch, cook, repair. Then buy the factory with surplus.

Factory-first (Euro-only). If you do not care about dating yet and you already have a dryer pipeline, converting pine into cribs can beat selling wet or even dry pine as lumber. French progression guides explicitly tell you to buy the factory before the 250,000 Euro loan and to pay the uncle in one shot later. That is a coherent mill strategy. It is also extra days without a family and without some machine quests. Do not mix the two plans and then blame the plaque.

Either way, an empty factory is a trap. If you cannot fill dryers, you bought a room. Land and a crane come first — buy forests and vehicles.

How to run a batch

  1. Confirm the mill board. Dry pine / birch / oak pallets. Wet planks are for people who like disappointment. Revision Part 1 even blocked wet planks for rebuilds.
  2. Move full crates of the species the recipe wants. One ready-to-assemble crate is a common unit in player notes (about 180 pieces in one filmed batch — your UI wins).
  3. Queue the recipe you have unlocked. Common furniture is available at purchase; better wardrobes wait on books, missions, or chests.
  4. Sell at the counter that pays. Do not assume the mill lumber window is the furniture window.
  5. Keep a pine pipeline if cribs are your cash cow. Keep oak for lumber if the board still beats the recipe. Check both.

Chipboard and bark stay mill side products. They do not replace a crib run, and they do not feed most furniture recipes. Product tier list still says dry planks first.

When not to buy

  • No tractor, no trailer, no dryer cycle. Read Getting Started.
  • You are two neighbour jobs away from a half-price crane and you are about to dump 180,000 Euro on a building. Buy the crane.
  • Console save already hates loading. Factory plus mill plus town NPCs is more to break. Console release.
  • You thought the Digital Supporter Pack included a factory. It does not. Official links.

The factory is late-mid content that 1.0 already contains. There is no 2026 furniture DLC. If a YouTube title says otherwise, it is a Let’s Play, not a patch. Patch history dates the furniture drop to late Early Access.

Buy it when the mill is bored of selling raw pallets and the loan plan is honest. Feed it. Then go cut legal wood.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Should I buy the factory before paying my uncle?

Only if you are chasing Euro and you already dry pallets. This wiki still prefers paying the loan so dating and vehicle quests unlock. See make money.

How much is the factory?

Community plaques wander from about 175,000 to 225,000 Euro. Read the sale text in your save.

Why is a recipe grey?

Missing blueprint or missing dry crates of the right species. Chests and missions drop high blueprints. Pallets come from the mill.

Does Furniture creator need a full production line?

No. Owning the lot pops the trophy. Making money from it needs dry planks.
